The police arrested a group of people who assaulted and threatened the intellectually disabled to borrow a total of 16 million won.



Today (2nd), Gyeonggi Pocheon Police Station announced that they arrested a total of 5 people including A (46), the main culprit, on charges of robbery, and two of them, including A, were arrested.



Their crime started when the main culprit, Mr. A, suggested to four people who were acquaintances to share the money through a so-called 'work loan', in which he received a loan by deceiving his identity.



They met in prison or in society, and the accomplice, B (34), became the target of the crime by pointing out that C (32), whom he met while playing internet games, was intellectually disabled.



Mr. B met Mr. C several times and said, "It's like a lost son, call me mom." In October 2020, Mr. C enticed Mr. C to a motel in Daejeon to borrow 3 million won through the Sunshine Loan. stole it



After that, they stayed with Mr. C at a motel for 3 to 4 days, forcing him to get an additional loan, and when Mr. C refused to do so, he took him to a nearby hillside and used a blunt weapon to injure him for 8 weeks.



In the end, these gangs fabricated false documents such as the employment certificate of Mr. C, who was unemployed, and borrowed an additional 13 million won and hijacked it.



In the process, they imprisoned Mr. C at their residence for 3 to 4 days, and forced him to memorize forged information to verify the identity required for loans.



As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that the loan, equivalent to 16 million won, was shared by five people per day and was used for living expenses and entertainment expenses.



The main culprit, Mr. A, had difficulty in tracking because he did not disclose his real name to his gang, such as using a pseudonym for 7 years, but after about 1 year and 8 months of investigation, he was eventually caught by the police.



A police official said, "As soon as the investigation is completed, the case will be handed over to the prosecution soon."
