A policeman has been arrested for saving the life of the owner's husband and brutally abusing a dog called a loyal dog in the village.

Jeonbuk Jeongeup Police Station announced today (30th) that they are investigating a man A in his 60s who used a knife to damage a dog's body on charges of violating the Animal Protection Act (animal abuse).

Mr. A is accused of damaging the nose and chest of a dog, a sapsal breed, in front of a restaurant in Yeonji-dong, Jeongeup-si, on the 23rd.

The dog was found by a passerby right after the incident, and it is known that the dog was bleeding profusely with severe injuries to its nose and chest.

The abused dog's name was 'Bok-soon', and it was famous in the village for an anecdote that saved his life by barking loudly when the owner's husband died of a stroke.

Dog owner B took the injured dog to the veterinary hospital, but he turned away because of the expensive hospital expenses, and Bok-soon, who did not receive treatment in time, eventually died.

After that, Mr. B handed over Bok-soon's body to a bosintang restaurant.

Beagle Rescue Network, an animal protection organization that found out about this, reported to the police to catch the abuser of Bok-soon, and the police, who started the investigation, identified suspect A through CCTV.

Person A is known to have stated in the police investigation, "I was angry and committed a crime by biting my dog, but I did not even try to kill him."

A police official said, "We are investigating Mr. A without detention in his 60s.
