High-risk groups, such as the elderly over the age of 60 or the severely disabled, are classified separately and quarantined by the government.

In particular, group infections continue to occur in facilities where people with disabilities live, and special subsidies worth billions of won have been organized to respond, but it was confirmed that only one was actually received.

This is the exclusive report by reporter Kim Deok-hyun.

A residential facility for the disabled in Incheon.

In October of last year, as a confirmed case emerged, we entered a cohort quarantine that temporarily closed the entire facility with users and employees inside.

Since October 2020, this group infection has continued in 7 out of 10 residential facilities for the disabled across the country.

Last year, the government prepared an emergency support budget of 2.4 billion won.

In the event of a group infection occurring in a residential facility for the disabled, it will support the cost of isolating the uninfected.

But so far, only one country in the country has received this budget.

Regulations for determining who to apply for have been hindered.

"According to the judgment of the public health center, only those places where all other users have been distributed outside can support."

In other words, the infection facility must be emptied and an external separate facility must be operated.

It was also not easy to secure additional management personnel after the separation measures.

The only place that received support did not receive support until four months after the confirmed person was confirmed.

This year, even this subsidy has disappeared.

It is pointed out that more meticulous measures are needed even for targeted quarantine that protects the vulnerable from Corona.
