Candidate Seok-Jun Oh said today (29th), "All members of the judiciary must resolutely face any unreasonable attempts to infringe on the independence of the trial, and must not lose their vigilance even for a moment so as not to fall into bias on their own."

Candidate Oh said in a greeting at the personnel hearing held at the National Assembly today, "Judges and the judiciary should be seen as independent and neutral in the eyes of the people."

Candidate Oh said that he took seriously the situation in which the judiciary lacks the trust of the people, and said, "Restoring the people's trust in a fair trial is the reason I am standing here today and the mission assigned to me."

Regarding his life as a judge, he said, "I listened to the opinions of both parties with a humble attitude, and I have been doing my best to ensure an unbiased trial by constantly examining whether my judgment has objectivity and rationality, or whether subjective prejudice is involved." He said, "I listened with a lower attitude to issues in which the socially weak and the socially disadvantaged were the parties, and pondered over what a just conclusion was."
