Sookmyung Women's University has initiated an investigation after receiving additional information regarding the master's thesis of Mrs. Kim Kun-hee.
The Democratic Alumni Association, a group of Sookmyung Women's University graduates, said, "Yesterday (18th) afternoon, we were notified that the report was officially received."
The Democratic Alumni Association requested, "Please inform us of the results of the preliminary investigation already conducted by the school and the schedule of the Research Ethics and Integrity Committee," adding, "We will see if the results of the main investigation are transparently disclosed to the informant and the subject."
In an email sent to the Democratic Alumni Association, the university explained, "The Research Ethics and Integrity Committee is conducting an investigation according to procedures and principles."
The investigation will be conducted privately in accordance with the regulations, and he said that he will notify the result when the result is revealed.
Sookmyung Women's University conducted a preliminary investigation in February into allegations of plagiarism from Kim's 1999 master's thesis submitted by Mrs. Kim.
However, the Research Ethics and Integrity Committee has not been held to decide whether or not to conduct this investigation.
