It was belatedly known that the prosecution had actively cooperated with the police who sought help over the phone at the scene of the arrest and received a letter of thanks.

According to the legal community today (19th), the Ilsan Eastern Police Station was dispatched to the scene to execute an arrest and seizure warrant for a voice phishing suspect last month.

The suspect was accused of colluding with the voice phishing director to open 72 prepaid SIMs in the name of another person.

At the scene, the police additionally confirmed the existence of items that needed to be confiscated outside the scope of the warrant and the existence of a prepaid SIM collection book, but it was not easy to make a legal judgment.

In response, the police called the prosecutor in charge of the warrant at the Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office and asked for help.

After receiving the phone call, the prosecutor explained to the police how to organize the crime facts about the collection book and how to secure the legality in case of additional compulsory investigations such as emergency confiscation.

Thankfully, the situation was resolved without any problems.

The arrested suspect was arrested two days later, and was charged with violating the Telecommunications Business Act on the 2nd.

It is known that it is rare that such close cooperation has been achieved through phone calls since the prosecution's investigation leadership disappeared.

The police in charge of the case said to the prosecutor, 'Thank you for worrying about the sudden question.

Thanks to this, we were able to minimize the controversy at the site.”
