In parallel with the Microsoft Game Pass, Sony launched on June 24 three formulas of PlayStation Plus, its online platform.

In addition to the Essential plan, subscribers can now subscribe to the Extra and Premium plans.

Both include access to many PS4 and PS5 games as well as temporary access to the latest PlayStation exclusives.

The Premium offer is the only one to offer a selection of retro video games from old consoles.

But that's where the problem lies: subscribers are unhappy with the offer offered to them, reports

.

are we actually going to get more classic games or no?

like i'm really struggling to see the point in keeping a premium sub when i could just drop to extra because the classic games and trials are so not worth it

A critical selection

In August, Sony announced the arrival of new games for each formula.

But PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers haven't seen the retro catalog swell.

“Where are the updates to the classic catalog, asked a player on Twitter.

This is the reason why many of us have purchased a Premium Membership.

»

For others, it was the selection itself that proved disappointing.

“Where are the classic games?

We paid for a whole year and we receive games that are already on the Game Pass, ”laments another subscriber.

A last gamer finally expresses his difficulty in “seeing the interest of keeping a Premium subscription” when he could downgrade to the Plus Extra formula.

With this option, three euros cheaper per month than the Premium offer, it is indeed already possible to play all the new titles offered in August by Sony.
