Incheon District Court today (17th) sentenced a woman in her 50s, a woman in her 50s, who was handed over to trial on charges of negligent manslaughter on the job, sentenced to 2 years in prison and 3 years of probation.



The court said, "As the head of a protection facility for the disabled, the accused had to guide and supervise the welfare workers, identify the behavioral characteristics of the disabled, and clearly communicate them to the welfare workers," the court said. and explained.



He continued, "The defendant knew or could have known that the (welfare worker) provided food support to the victim, but he did not take appropriate action." was considered," he said, explaining the reason for the sentencing.



At about 11:45 am on August 6, last year, at a day care center for the disabled in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, Mr. A was indicted on charges of causing the death of Mr. C, a disabled person in his twenties, for not properly managing and supervising employees, including a social worker, Mr. B, a 29-year-old.



Mr. B forced Mr. C to feed him gimbap and tteokbokki during her meal, Mr. C refused to eat her, and then she went to another room and collapsed and died six days later.



B, who was arrested and charged with murder and abuse, was sentenced to four years in prison at the first trial held in April.
