As the Corona pandemic continues, the number of patients with severe cases in particular has increased rapidly to 521.

There is also a forecast that the spread will increase from tomorrow (16th), when more people are being tested again after the holidays are over.

We have been thoroughly disinfecting the shelters for the fourth day since the first confirmed case among the victims on the 12th.

Every time you come in, if you have any symptoms, we advise you to do a self-examination kit test...

More worrisome than the number of confirmed cases in various parts of the world is the increase in the number of severe cases.

As of yesterday, there were 521 cases of severe serious illness, the highest in 108 days.

The number of severe cases usually reflects the spread of the disease two weeks ago.

Experts predict that after this holiday, which overlaps with the summer vacation, the number of confirmed cases per day will increase to around 200,000, but the National Institute of Mathematical Sciences predicted that the number of severe cases could exceed 1,100 by the beginning of next month.

[Jeong Jae-hoon/Professor of Preventive Medicine, Gachon University College of Medicine: It seems that the high level of confirmed cases will continue in the future, and there may be some difficulties in responding to critically ill beds than now (1 to 2 weeks later)...

The quarantine authorities have decided to repeatedly recommend the fourth vaccination to the elderly aged 60 and over, who account for 88% of patients with severe cases, and to prevent aggravation by increasing the prescription rate for oral treatment, which accounts for only 18% of confirmed cases in the elderly.
