Police and fire departments are searching for a report that a man in his 20s who was with his friends on the banks of the Han River went missing while entering the river.



At around 5:16 a.m. today (15th), the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul received a request for cooperation from the fire department that a man in his 20s, who was at the bank of the Han River in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, went missing after drowning in the river.



It was found that A had previously drank alcohol with two of his friends in a nearby apartment and visited the banks of the Han River.



The first report was made because a friend of Mr. A, who was with him, asked a passer-by to say, "Mr. A went into the Han River, but I couldn't see it."



Another friend is said to have tried to rescue Mr. A at the same time.



A police official said, "We are conducting an investigation into two friends who were at the scene along with the search for Mr. A."
