The fire department, which was searching the basement of the Lit Tower in Seocho-dong, Seoul, where the missing person was said to have been washed away in heavy rain, concluded a report of a misunderstanding after five days.
The Seocho Fire Department in Seoul said that they searched the entire basement floor of the Littower building on the evening of the 13th, but no missing persons were found.
Earlier, at around 9:40 pm on the 8th, a report was received that a person believed to be a man in his 50s had drifted off the stairs going down to the first basement floor of Rit Tower, and the authorities have been conducting a search operation.
Reports of disappearances continued in the Seocho-gu area due to the last heavy rain, and so far, three people, including a brother and sister who fell into a manhole, were found dead.
