A hymn to pray for the well-being of the deceased follows, followed by a funeral procession.

On the night of the 8th, at a semi-basement house in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, three family members who died from heavy rain went on the road to eternal rest.

A woman in her 40s, an older sister with developmental disabilities, and a 13-year-old daughter.

A mother in her 70s, who escaped an accident while undergoing a checkup at her hospital on a rainy day, is said to be still in the hospital with the shock of losing both her daughters and a granddaughter.

She returned to the semi-subterranean house that had a tragic accident.

Chrysanthemum flowers are placed on the window sill in remembrance of the deceased.

[Neighborhood resident: How special was it (between her family) when the younger brother went holding her sister's hand tightly...

.]

For the residents of this area, vivid memories of the current that crashed into the semi-subterranean houses from all over the world that day and did everything in their power to save their families or escape on their own.

[Jeon Ye-seong/Neighbor Neighbor: At that moment, there is an indescribable fear and a feeling of depression that my family is clearly visible but cannot be saved…

.

In my mind, I have to rescue the children quickly.

That's all I can think of.]

The house next door, which was flooded with water at the time, is in the process of being restored.

The house where the accident occurred has not been removed and traces of that day remain.

The person affected by the flood must report the damage directly to the local government, and the ward office will conduct an on-site investigation and then repair work. This is because no reports have been received yet.

[Gwanak-gu Office official: When your mother is discharged, you have to organize all the oil and other things under her mother's presence.]

As the restoration work is in progress in the residential area, all the wet objects come out to the street, and the alley is almost paralyzed.

On a one-way road, cars can't pass and they turn again.

[Kim Soo-jin / Sinsa-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul: I can't go out because I'm blocked, so please go back a little.]

From the flood damage to the unfortunate accident, it seems that the residents of the semi-underground housing in Gwanak-gu need more detailed support.
