A 30-year-old son who assaulted and murdered his mother for slept without giving her coffee was sentenced to a heavy sentence.



The 15th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Court (Chief Judge Lee Kyu-hoon) announced today (10th) that Mr. A (38), who was arrested and charged with murder, was sentenced to 15 years in prison with treatment probation.



Mr. A was arrested and charged with killing her mother B (62 years old at the time of death) by beating her mother B (62 years old at the time of death) with fists and filial children for 30 minutes in a multi-family house in Seo-gu, Incheon at around 9 pm on December 23, last year.



On the afternoon of the day after the crime, he called 112, saying, "Her mother is very injured and needs to go to the hospital."



Person A asked for coffee, but it was investigated that she killed Mr. B by saying he only slept without giving it.



A was found to have repeatedly assaulted his mother, who had been taking care of him for a long time, who had a mental illness.



He was charged with special injury to an ancestor after stabbing his mother's calf twice with an awl in April last year, and in October of the same year on charges of assault and injury to an ascendant.



He also assaulted his mother at the time, such as turning off the TV or not being a match for boxing practice.



Diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2004, he showed aggressive tendencies while enjoying the movie 'I Saw the Devil', and also showed symptoms such as delusions of damage and megalomania.



Earlier, at the decision trial held on the 22nd of last month, the prosecution requested that Mr. A be sentenced to 32 years in prison and treatment.



At the trial, Mr. A claimed that he had no intention to kill, but the court judged that he was mentally and physically weak at the time of the crime, but was fully aware of the fact that his mother could die from repeated aggression.



The court explained, "The act of killing a lineal ascendant is an unacceptable anti-social and anti-humanity crime."



"The victim was deprived of his precious life in extreme fear and pain," he said.
