As of this time, the subway has resumed operation without any problems.

However, as the rains intensify again, the inconvenience of citizens using public transportation is still great.

We connect reporters who are out in Isu Station.

Reporter Min-Jun Kim, how is the current public transportation situation?

Yes, I am now at Isu Station, a transfer station for subway lines 4 and 7.

Today (9th), the rain that had subsided for a while during the day became strong again after 9 pm, but now it is showing a brief lull again.

In particular, last night, here in Dongjak-gu, it rained the most in Seoul, and Isu Station was also heavily flooded.

Where the ceiling has collapsed, a safety fence is installed and passage is restricted.

Currently, there are no problems with train operation.

Sindaebang Station, which suffered significant flood damage, resumed operation after the water was drained and restoration work proceeded smoothly.

Dongjak Station, which passed without a stop until the end of the Line 9 station to inspect the ticket gate equipment, is also operating normally as of 6pm.

Some sections of Subway Line 3, which were suspended late in the afternoon to recover from flood damage, were also restored to normal within 30 minutes.

Seoul Transportation Corporation said, "We are not considering extending the subway overnight operation to check vehicles and equipment in the station."
