One side of the mountain in the back fell down and devoured the house of an elderly man in his 70s living alone.

An elderly man who was in the house at the time was found dead after four hours of searching.

Here I am standing now, not on the floor, but on the roof of a buried house.

Heaps of trees, rocks, and dirt hit the house in an instant and poured down 500 meters below.

[Park Rae-moon / Head of Hyeoncheon 1-ri, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon: Because a tree fell over someone else's house and I went to help, there is no house.

So I got a call.

They say, 'Chief, something has happened, the house is gone.']

Especially, the southern part of Yeongseo, where it rained the most since midnight, suffered the most.

An iron pillar to prevent falling rocks on the roadside was broken by a tree that had been blown away by its roots,

[Gangwon-do recovery team official: A lot of soil leaked, so we went to about 12 or 15 15-ton cars from dawn.]

A ginseng field that we worked hard for 7 years also all locked up.

[Kim Un-si / Gonggeun-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon: It rots quickly.

It's getting muddy.

If you do it like this, you're going to have a lot of damage.]

In Pyeongchang, a guest in his 50s was swept away by the rapids, and a woman in her 60s while rafting in Yeongwol drowned and died.

The Wonjucheon Stream, a tributary of the Seomgang River, also overflowed and a bridge disappeared, and about 300 vehicles parked on the shore were urgently moved.

Flooding of crops has occurred everywhere.

In addition, while houses and livestock sheds were flooded and rural villages were being isolated, damage was increasing, and Han River dams such as Chuncheon Dam, Hwacheon Dam, and Hoengseong Dam opened their sluice gates at once and started to adjust the water level.
