Today, on social media (SNS), you can easily find photos of vehicles abandoned in a flooded state near Gangnam Station, Daechi Station, and Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu.
Abandoned vehicles such as "Everyone left their cars at Daechi Station's Eunma Apartments", "It was flooded on the way home, so I left the car and walked." There were also eyewitness accounts.
As these vehicles blocked the road, traffic jams continued in some sections even after the water receded.
This morning, on Banpo Road between Seocho Police Station and Seocho Station, 5 vehicles that their owners had abandoned due to heavy rain last night were still standing still.
Of these, two were unmoving, blocking the entrance to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.
Employee A, who worked the night shift at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, said, "I've worked for 30 years, but this is the first time I've seen such a water riot."
Drivers who left the vehicle and escaped are being towed individually.
A police official said, "The cars were abandoned all over the road, but the driver is moving individually with a wrench car, so a lot of things are being cleaned up."
