A man in his 40s who murdered his wife and stabbed his mother-in-law with a knife and then escaped, but was arrested three days later, appeared for the first time.

A (42), who is charged with murder and attempted murder, entered the Incheon District Court on the afternoon of the 9th, where a substantive examination of the warrant before arrest is held.

When he got out of the police van, he was tied to a leash, handcuffed, and covered his face with his glasses and a mask.

Mr. A avoided answering the reporter's question, "Why did you fight?" and briefly answered "I'm sorry" to the question, "Aren't you sorry for your wife and mother-in-law?"

He then answered "yes" to the question, "Do you not regret the crime?"

His warrant review will be held at 2 pm today by Kim Hyun-duk, the chief judge in charge of warrants of the Incheon District Court, and whether he will be arrested or not will be decided later in the afternoon.

Person A is suspected of running away after stabbing her 40-year-old wife B several times with a knife at her home in Michuhol-gu, Incheon at 0:37 a.m. on the 4th.

Mother-in-law C in her 60s, who was with her at the time, was also stabbed with a weapon wielded by Mr. A.

When the paramedics arrived at the scene, Mr. B was lying in the living room inside the house, and Mr. C was lying outside the house near the road.

A passerby found Mr. C, who came out of the house shouting, "Save someone," and called 911.

Immediately after the crime, Mr. A fled around Gyeonggi-do using Korando vehicles and public transportation, but was arrested by the police at a motel in Suwon three days later.

It is said that he has been sentenced to prison several times in the past for crimes such as violence.

The police decided to additionally check whether Mr. A was driving under the influence of alcohol while driving his vehicle.
