A man in his 60s who stole dozens of times while walking around an unmanned store was sentenced to prison in the first trial. 

The 14th criminal division of the Seoul Northern District Court (Judge Jeong Hye-won) announced today (9th) that A (64), who was arrested and charged with theft, etc., was sentenced to 10 months in prison. 

A is accused of stealing 350,000 won worth of goods while circulating four unmanned stores in Dobong-gu, Seoul from September last year to the 12th of last month. 

Person A is known to have stated in a police investigation that "I committed a crime for the sake of a livelihood."

The court said, "The accused has a bad quality of crime because he keeps stealing even while the crime is being investigated and being investigated. Considering that, it seems that strict punishment is necessary.” 

However, he explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, "We have taken into account the fact that the defendant shows an attitude of remorse and that the amount of damage is not large."
