Surprised citizens hurriedly flee.

[Woojin Lee / Witness: The ceiling collapsed and the water was dripping down, and as soon as I turned on the camera, the ceiling was now collapsing...

Fortunately, there were no casualties, but rainwater flowing into the station collapsed the ceiling and flooded the platform, causing both trains to pass through the station without stopping.

The basement floor of Singil Station on Line 1 was also filled with water, and at Daechi Station on Line 3, rainwater poured from the elevator ceiling.

Yeongdeungpo Station was also partially flooded, and the downbound service of Line 1 was temporarily suspended.

As for Line 9, trains from Nodeul Station to Sapyeong Station were stopped due to flooding at Dongjak Station, and all seven subway stations in that section were closed.

As the subway service was stopped due to record heavy rain, citizens on their way home from work had to experience great inconvenience.

Citizens who want to get on the bus too late wait tirelessly at the bus stop, but even this is not easy.

Some citizens even gave up going home altogether.

[Kim Seong-chan / Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do: I can't take the subway and the bus is cut off now, so I can't turn around and I can't go because I can't get a taxi right now. I'm trying to get a room nearby, but the room is full...

Buses, taxis, and subways all failed to operate properly in extreme chaos, leaving the road home at night like a battlefield.
