The police decided to examine the responsibility of the game assistant (caddy) in relation to the incident where a user drowned in a pond at a golf course in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do.

The Jeollanam-do Police Agency announced today (7th) that they are investigating the case of Gyeonggi Assistant A, on charges of manslaughter due to work negligence.

At the time of the accident, Mr. A is charged with stopping a female golfer who died while trying to give the ball to a 3m-deep pond (water hazard) or failing to warn of the danger.

Earlier, the police arrested and investigated one golf course safety officer on charges of failing to properly take safety measures for facilities such as fences around the pond.

In addition, we are reviewing whether it is a serious civil disaster that can punish even the business owner if the obligation to secure safety and health is not fulfilled.

On April 27th, around 8:51 am, a woman in her 50s who was playing golf at a golf course in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do fell into a pond 3m deep and died while trying to give the ball.

It is known that the other party and the game assistant moved by cart, and the woman went alone to the pond.
