Fortunately, no one was injured, but one of the door frames on the first floor of the building was broken and the glass on the door was shattered.

The word 'Diplomacy' was written on the license plate on the front of the vehicle.

The building said that the driver of the vehicle was a Korean male, and that the accident was caused by a simple mistake while trying to park in front of the building.

A building official said, "Even though it looks like it was an accident, it wasn't because of drinking." He said, "We plan to not report it to the police because the cost of repairing the building can be covered by the driver's insurance."

Police and fire department officials said they had never received a report related to the accident.

Meanwhile, photos of the accident scene were shared on social media such as Twitter, and an eyewitness explained the situation at the time of the accident, saying, "The vehicle broke the glass door of the building. All the people in the nearby cafe ran out."

Regarding the accident, the U.S. Embassy in Seoul said, "The embassy's vehicle caused damage to the building due to a mechanical defect. The vehicle is insured and an internal investigation into the incident is ongoing."
