With more than 100,000 new confirmed cases of Corona yesterday (3rd), more and more people are looking for cold medicine or antipyretic medicine at pharmacies recently.

As in the past, some medicines are difficult to obtain again, but reporter Kim Deok-hyun looked around the scene.

Not only general patients, but also corona-confirmed patients can visit and receive medicines in person.

Reporters visited 8 nearby pharmacies, including this one, and it was not difficult to find over-the-counter medicines that relieve symptoms of Corona, such as fever and headache.

However, the situation is different for drugs that must be dispensed by a pharmacist with a doctor's prescription.

If you look at the prescriptions of corona confirmed patients, there are many medicines containing acetaminophen, which lowers fever, but some pharmacies cannot obtain the medicine and cannot dispense it as prescribed.

Although large pharmacies are looking for alternative medicines with the same ingredients,

Small town pharmacies can also order alternative medicines. It is virtually impossible to supply due to lack of stock.

In the pharmacist community, there are even posts saying that they pay a lot of money to get medicine.

[Jung Soo-yeon / Pharmacist, Gangseo-gu, Seoul: (Acetaminophen) There are about 10-20 tablets left, but it will be over in one or two more minutes.

Ask other pharmacies and buy them for more.

Other pharmacies don't want to give it to me.] The

government announced that it will operate a rapid response system for cold medicine from the 8th and separately manage 10 items with unstable supply every week.

In addition, it is recommended that syrups and suspensions for children and adolescents be prescribed as tablets if possible.
