The National Solidarity for Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeon Jang-yeon) resumed a protest on the way to work at Gwanghwamun Station on Seoul Subway Line 5 on the 1st.

It has been about a month since the protest on the 4th of last month.

Jeon Jang-yeon gathered at the platform of Gwanghwamun Station on Line 5 from 7:30 am today and hung pickets, iron ladders, and chains around their necks to urge the disabled to move and secure a budget.

From 8 am, activists in wheelchairs boarded the train in the direction of Yeouido Station on Line 5, delaying the train operation.

Activists flocked to the platform and police were stationed in front of the screen door, causing some congestion, but there was no physical conflict.

After changing to Line 9 at Yeouido Station, Jeon Jang-yeon will get off at the National Assembly Station and hold a closing press conference in front of the main gate of the National Assembly.

Jeon Jang-yeon asserted, "Minister of Strategy and Finance Chu Kyeong-ho continues to act irresponsibly by handing over the responsibility for budget guarantees for the rights of the disabled to each ministry while he is determined to cut taxes for the rich."

Previously, Jeon Jang-yeon demanded a definite answer to reflect Minister Choo's budget for the rights of persons with disabilities, and said, "If there is no answer, I will take the subway every Monday on the way to work from August 1."
