The 5th typhoon 'Songda' evaded Korea, but it rained all over the country due to the indirect effect of the typhoon.



Nearly 100mm of rain fell along the mountain in the Jirisan area, and the Baemsagol Valley turned into a river in half a day.



In addition, more than 300 mm of rain fell in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island and more than 100 mm in Gyeongnam and Jeonnam.



The wind was also strong.



A strong wind of 28 m/s blew momentarily on Gageo Island, Jeollanam-do.



Songda is currently passing through a low-temperature area and has lost power and the upper and lower layers of the typhoon are separated.



It is expected to weaken to the tropical depression, the extinction stage of the typhoon tomorrow morning, but the rain will continue until the day after tomorrow.

This is because the 6th typhoon 'Trace' that occurred near Okinawa this afternoon and the high pressure in the North Pacific continue to supply warm water vapor that makes rain through the passage of Songda.

Until the day after tomorrow, rain of 200 mm or more near Mt. Jiri, 150 mm or more in the southern coast and Jeju Island, 120 mm or more in northern Gyeonggi and northern Gyeongsang, 50-100 mm in Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island, and 10-80 mm in other parts of the country.



It was predicted that the 6th typhoon 'Trace' could no longer expand its power and would disappear in the sea about 70 km southwest of Seogwipo within 24 hours.
