According to Borisov, Roskosmos is heavily indebted to the Russian economy, since one or another sector of the economy cannot be imagined without space services.

“We missed the time of the so-called industrial model for the production of automatic satellites, which are the basis of various space systems,” he said.

The head of Roskosmos added that the United States, European countries and China are the main players in this market and "have long overtaken Russia in this regard."

According to Borisov, Roskosmos needs to restructure its work in order to learn how to produce satellites "in a completely different quantity", this will require a radical restructuring of the main processes of the technological cycle.

Earlier, Borisov told Russian President Vladimir Putin that the creation of the Russian Orbital Service Station would become the main priority for the state corporation.

In June, the press service of Roscosmos reported that the state corporation would review the federal space program in order to give priority to the Russian satellite constellation.

In the near future, the draft program will be sent for approval.
