A lawsuit that lasted 11 years.

When the Supreme Court decides that he should be regarded as a POSCO worker, he embraces his colleagues and shares joy.

In 2011, 15 workers from a subcontractor who were in charge of crane operation during the coil production process at POSCO Gwangyang Works filed a lawsuit to verify their status as POSCO employees.

Then, in 2015, 44 people filed similar lawsuits, and the trial continued for as long as 11 years.

The court of first instance ruled in favor of POSCO, saying that it is difficult to say that the workers of subcontractors were under the supervision of POSCO, but the judgment of the second trial was different.

Considering that POSCO actually decided on the number of people required to operate a business partner or crane, and how to work, it was judged that they should be regarded as POSCO workers, considering that they worked according to the contents delivered through the POSCO computerized management system.

The Supreme Court also upheld this decision.

However, during the litigation, the four people whose retirement age had passed were dismissed on the grounds that there was no interest in arguing with the lawsuit.
