Regarding the recent case of 'rape and fall' that occurred at Inha University, Won-seok Lee, deputy chief prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's office, ordered a thorough investigation of the truth.

The Supreme Prosecutor's Office said that Deputy Director Lee received a report on the investigation situation directly from the Incheon District Prosecutor's Office Chief Shim Woo-jeong yesterday (26th) and ordered this.

At the same time, he requested that he do his best to prevent secondary damage and support the victims' families, the Supreme Prosecutor said.

Deputy Director Lee also instructed the Supreme Prosecutor's Office to promptly provide all necessary support, including digital forensics and image analysis, centering on the forensic and criminal departments of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.

Earlier, the police arrested Inha University student A on charges of quasi-rape and murder and handed it over to the prosecution.

Mr. A is accused of sexually assaulting his classmate inside the campus of Inha University in the early morning of the 15th, and then dropping him down three floors to death.

The Incheon District Prosecutor's Office plans to form a dedicated investigation team and review whether the murder charge has been applied.
