The Japanese police, who were criticized for failing to guard the death of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, collided with the car of the deceased's wife, Akie.

According to local media reports such as NHK, on the morning of the 25th, a security car carrying Ms. Akie collided with another security vehicle on the Metropolitan Expressway passing Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

There were no injuries.

After the accident, two security vehicles stopped on one side of the road were recorded on a black box of a passing vehicle, and then provided to the media and released.

The accident occurred in an area where lanes were reduced due to merging, and Kyodo News reported that the cause of the accident was that the patrol chief, who was driving the security car following from behind, did not properly look ahead.

The Metropolitan Police Department said, "We will thoroughly conduct liberal arts training to prevent the same kind of accident from reoccurring."

Former Prime Minister Abe was shot and killed by a priest shot by Tetsuya Yamagami while campaigning for support in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, on the 8th of this month, ahead of the House of Representatives election.

Yamagami fired once at a distance of about 7m and 5m from Abe's rear, and Abe was shot down in the second shot.

At the scene, multiple security personnel were deployed, including the 'SP' (Security Police), a police officer in charge of special security for important people as a member of the National Police Agency.

If you look at the video taken at the time of the incident, there was a gap of about 3 seconds between the first and second shots, but the bodyguards did not act to surround and protect Abe.
