Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) resumes launching work at Dock 1, which was suspended due to the occupation and siege of the Chosun subcontractors in Geoje Tongyeong Goseong of the metallurgical union.

Daewoo Shipbuilding started filling up with water as soon as seven union members who were occupied and protesting yesterday (22th) left the dock at around 6:30 pm.

This afternoon, the dock gate will be opened and the ship will be pulled out with a tugboat, but after basic performance verification and test driving at sea, it will be ready for delivery.

The launch of a 300,000-ton super-large crude oil carrier heading to the sea for the remainder of today's process is expected to be delayed by five weeks, delaying delivery as well.

Since today is a summer vacation, all workers except for essential workers will not be working, so Daewoo Shipbuilding has decided to deploy additional personnel, such as overtime, to keep pace with the schedule.
