Police arrested a man who handed a drink with sleeping pills to a taxi driver and then ran away with credit cards and cash.



Late at night on the 22nd of last month, a taxi driver went into an accommodation in Daejeon with passengers after a long-distance trip.



After that, the passenger left the room alone, changed into different clothes from when he entered, packed his luggage and left the dormitory as if running away.



According to the police, the passenger handed the taxi driver a drink with sleeping pills, saying that he had a lot of trouble after driving for a long time.



Passengers spent millions of won with stolen credit cards to buy back cell phones and home appliances.



The amount of damage is said to be as high as 17 million won.



Police arrested the fugitive passenger on charges of robbery and fraud.



A police official pointed out that the suspect was found to be 27 criminals six months after being released from prison, and pointed out that it is a case of 'abusing goodwill for the crime'.
