Controversy continued for some time as suspicions arose that the company sponsoring advertisements for Seongnam FC, a professional football club, was not money in return for solving the company's current issues a few years ago.

At the time, we obtained an official letter from Seongnam City and reported it on our own last month.

Reporter Jeong Ban-seok reported.

is Doosan E&C's official document obtained and reported by SBS.

It was sent to the Mayor of Seongnam on October 31, 2014.

Attached is a report requesting that the site of Jeongja-dong Hospital in Bundang-gu be converted into a business facility.

[SBS 8 News (26th of last month): It is revealed that if the use changes and the new building of Doosan Group is built, it will actively consider providing a part of the first floor as a public facility or sponsoring Seongnam FC.]

The change of use was made the following year, and Doosan Construction has signed an advertising agreement worth 5.3 billion won with Seongnam FC.

The special committee for normalization under the Seongnam Mayor's takeover committee stated that the floor area ratio increased from 250% to 670% due to the change of use, indicating that Doosan made huge profits.

He pointed out that it could be a basis for illegal donations as data that could prove the feasibility between change of use and advertising sponsorship.

Based on these investigation results, we have decided to request an investigation into Seongnam City and Doosan officials related to the Seongnam FC advertisement sponsorship.

The Special Committee on Normalization said that former Mayor Lee Jae-myung violated the relevant laws in the process of exercising his license and permission and caused considerable damage to Seongnam City in connection with the suspicion of large-scale operation, and recommended that it be investigated on allegations of business negligence.

Former Mayor Eun Su-mi said that the measures taken to find out the truth and to recover illegal profits were also consistent with circumstances, saying that they should be given special thanks.
