number of additional COVID-19 cases recorded 70,000 for two days in a row.

Analyzing the age of the confirmed patients, the most recently was in their 20s, followed by the most teenagers.

In particular, among teenagers, the number of patients is increasing rapidly, and more than 100 confirmed cases came out of a high school where I went on a school trip.

is a high school in Jeonju.

A total of 420 students and teachers of this school, including first and second grade students, went on a school trip to Jeju Island on the 12th for 3 nights and 4 days, and after returning to Jeonju, Corona 19 confirmed cases started to appear one after another.

According to the Jeonbuk Office of Education, the cumulative number of confirmed cases from the day of the school trip to today has reached 159, including 144 students and 15 teachers.

As there are more students and teachers with suspected corona symptoms, the number of confirmed cases is expected to increase.

[The high school official: When I (checked) on Monday, there were about 74 (confirmed) people.

I did it yesterday, and now it's even better.

(As of yesterday), the number increased to about 115.]

However, the day before the school trip, 10 students tested positive for self-diagnosis, and it was confirmed that there were some students who gave up on the school trip because of symptoms such as sore throat.

That's why critics say it was necessary to cancel or reschedule the trip.

[The high school official: There were times when it was difficult to adjust the school trip schedule.]

It was confirmed that some students and teachers showed symptoms during the school trip and returned home midway.

[Parents of the high school: The teachers and the kids kept coming back to Jeonju (because they showed symptoms of Corona 19).

The school explained that in order to minimize contact between students, the first and second graders were separated for school trips.

However, it was not enough to prevent a group infection of Corona 19 on a school trip left in the midst of a resurgence.
