The National Police Agency said that the 47-year-old Kim, who had been supplying drugs to Korea while staying in Vietnam, was arrested in Ho Chi Minh City on the 17th and forcibly returned to Korea on the morning of the 19th.

The three major drug lords in Southeast Asia are Mr. Park, who was called the 'Telegram drug king around the world', Mr. Choi, a former North Korean defector, and Mr. Kim.



Park was arrested in the Philippines in October 2020 and imprisoned there, while Choi was arrested in Cambodia and forcibly repatriated in April.



Kim, who was caught this time, is suspected of selling methamphetamine and synthetic hemp, etc. while trading with domestic suppliers using Telegram since 2018.



Police believe that Kim was the first-line general manager of drug smuggling in Southeast Asia, including supplying drugs to other drug lords Park and Choi.



Kim was wanted by 13 investigative agencies across the country, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Gangwon, Busan, and Gyeongnam, for drug distribution. arrives.
