The cause of the stench in the dressing room in a new apartment building in Hwaseong was found to be 'persons' in the ceiling, which is causing controversy.

Mr. A, who moved into the apartment in May, felt a strong stench of unknown cause from the dressing room of his master bedroom from the first day he moved in.

As the weather got warmer, the stench got worse, and in the end, Mr. A filed a defect request to the A/S department of the construction company.

So on the 2nd, a construction company official visited and looked around the house, including plumbing, floors, walls, and ceilings, and a suspicious plastic bag was found in the space above the ceiling of the dressing room.

A total of three bags found in the household contained 'servings'.

Mr. A explained the situation at the time, "As soon as the construction company employees removed the ceiling light, a strong stench quickly filled the room."

Mr. A posted this story on the resident cafe, and resident B, who saw the post, also felt the stench in the dressing room, and while searching for it, he found a plastic bag with human waste on the ceiling.

Mr. B said, "Her wife is 5 months pregnant, and the odor problem caused by servings has not been resolved, so she complained of a headache from a few days ago and was hospitalized the day before. "He said.

Construction company officials believe that it is highly likely that workers hid human waste during the interior finishing work of the apartment.

A and B said, 'I can't understand why someone hid the human body, but I was even more angry at the response of the construction company after that.' They did not even respond to the request to replace the board and call a professional company to carry out the deodorization work.”

Mr. A said, "It has already been 17 days since the bag was discovered, but the construction company is saying that removing the wallpaper and ceiling, sterilizing it and spraying liquid detergent is a deodorizing operation. I use it as an alkaline cleaner diluted in water, but somehow the construction company did it, the smell was still so strong that it gave me a headache.”

"I can't understand the behavior of a construction company that doesn't even respond to basic requests to restore it to the way it was when you moved in normally," he said.

In response, a construction company official apologized, "I am sorry that the tenants suffered because of the poor management of the workers." But, "The cost of the estimate is too large to be acceptable for the takeover work requested by the tenant in the process of compensating for the damage. "We plan to compensate tenants for damage through consultations as faithfully as possible."
