Today (19th), the number of new corona cases is expected to exceed 70,000.

As of 9 o'clock last night, there were already over 70,000 people.

It has been about 3 months since the end of last April.

As the 'doubling' phenomenon, in which the number of patients doubled from a week ago, continues, there are predictions that the peak may come sooner than expected by the quarantine authorities.

As of 9 pm yesterday, there were 74,497 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The number is 2.81 times higher than the day before, and it exceeded 70,000 in 83 days based on the same time zone.

The 'doubling' phenomenon, in which the number of confirmed cases doubles every week, continues.

The government predicted peaking at the peak of 200,000 in mid-September, but at this rate, the peak is expected to be much faster.

In the most pessimistic case of the three forecasts based on the transmission rate on the 13th, the number of new confirmed cases at the end of July was estimated at 38,000, because it has already far exceeded the forecast.

In the midst of this, the government expanded the target of the fourth vaccination to 50 people from yesterday.

120 days must pass after the third dose to receive the fourth dose.

If you have personal reasons such as overseas business trips or hospitalizations, you may be eligible within 90 days.

If you have been confirmed after the 3rd vaccination, it can be done 3 months after the date of confirmation.

However, the reservation rate is still low.

Those in their 50s who booked the 4th dose by 4 pm yesterday were counted as 131,482, 1.5% of the total 8.57 million.

Even including those in their 50s with weakened immune systems and workers in high-risk facilities, who are currently subject to the 4th vaccination, the cumulative number of reservations is about 241,000, or only 2.8% of those in their 50s.

Pfizer or Moderna vaccines are recommended, but if you have experienced side effects, you may choose Novavax vaccine.
