 Three high school students accused of extorting and harassing middle school juniors in order to raise money for internet gambling have been handed over to the prosecution.



According to an exclusive report by SBS on the 14th, the Nowon Police Station in Seoul sent three high school students, including Army A, to the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office without detention at the end of last month on charges of extortion.



Group A and others are accused of extorting about 4.7 million won from 10 junior high school students to raise money for internet gambling for about a year from March last year.

It was investigated that they stole cash or received bank transfers from the victim students a total of 117 times.



In addition, one of the perpetrators is accused of having the victim enter a dryer at a coin laundromat in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, and then operating it.



Earlier in March, the police began an investigation after hearing that "High School Iljin seniors habitually ask for money from middle school students" while an SPO (School Police Officer) was interviewing students I did.
