In the Global Gender Gap Report released by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Korea ranked 99th out of 146 countries in the gender gap index, remaining in the bottom.



In the gender gap index, the closer the score is to 1, the better the gender equality is. In Korea, it was 0.657, which was lower than Vietnam and Cambodia.



In this survey, it was found that not only Korea but also East Asian countries such as China and Japan ranked low.
