Yesterday (13th) afternoon at Gwangmyeong Station, the floor of the waiting room was submerged in muddy water and invisible.



It rained at a rate of 20 mm per hour around Gwangmyeong Station, and muddy water overflowing from the nearby railroad construction site came into the station.

At Geumcheon-gu Office Station on Line 1, the train service to Gwangmyeong Station was temporarily stopped



due to flooding overtaken.



A flood advisory was issued at the Ogeum Bridge branch of Anyangcheon, a tributary of the Han River, at around 6:40 pm yesterday, and has been maintained to this day.



Human casualties also occurred.



Yesterday around 4:30, a man in his 50s, a KORAIL employee, was hit and killed by an ITX train bound for Chuncheon near Jungnang Station.



This employee is said to have suffered a bowel movement while inspecting the track in preparation for heavy rain.



On the way home from work yesterday evening, major roads in Seoul were closed and congestion continued.



Most of the control has been lifted now, but the lower road of Yangjaecheon-ro in Seoul and the lower road of Cheolsan Bridge, which connects Seoul Yeongdeungpo and Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, will be controlled until 6 am.
