In a studio in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, blue tap water was leaking after a water break, and as the city of Pohang began an investigation, questions about the cause are spreading.

According to Pohang City on the 12th, tap water did not come out for a while due to a malfunction of the block unit flow valve that adjusts water pressure in some areas of Hyoja-dong, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, from 10:30 am to 30 minutes on that day.

However, after resolving the malfunction, when I turned on the faucet on the second floor of a four-story studio building, five buckets of blue water came out for about 10 minutes.

According to the owner of the house, while showering, the water suddenly became weak and the water seemed to be mixed with toilet cleaner.

The owner of the house said, "I was rinsing my mouth and brushing my teeth (blue tap water similar to toilet bowl cleaner) came out suddenly," he said.

However, due to a malfunction of the valve due to the structure of the water supply, dyes may be mixed in or water with a deep blue color cannot be supplied, raising questions about this issue.

Occasionally, rust or muddy water comes out when the debris accumulated in the pipe is mixed after the water cutoff, but it is known that blue water does not come out.

As a result of the field investigation on that day, the Pohang Waterworks Department estimated that the cause of the blue water was the upstairs toilet cleaner.

Considering the fact that there is only one report that there is actually blue water, the water pressure in the studio with a direct water system, not the one with a water tank, was cut off. It is presumed to have come out.

In addition, there is a possibility that some pipes were connected incorrectly during the construction of the one-room, and the toilet water flowed back.

The city is currently requesting a water quality test to determine the exact cause.
