From today (11th), the monkey pox diagnostic test will be available at the National Institute of Health and Environment in cities and provinces.



Until now, samples were collected from suspected cases and sent to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.



The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said that diagnostic tests for monkey pox will be conducted nationwide, making it possible to confirm the occurrence of confirmed cases more quickly.



Meanwhile, the first confirmed case of monkey pox in Korea was discharged on the 7th after being quarantined for 15 days.
