A man in his 50s has been sentenced to life in prison for allegedly killing his two wives by wielding a knife at a cousin and brother and wife at a social gathering.



The 1st Criminal Division of the Cheonan Branch of the Daejeon District Court sentenced 54-year-old A, who was indicted on charges of murder, and ordered the installation of a location tracking electronic device for 30 years.



In the judgment, the court ruled that "the accused was caught up in the thought of killing the victims in the process of committing a crime and did not seem to hesitate at all.



At the decision trial held on the 8th of last month, the prosecution requested the death penalty for A, who had been arrested on charges of murder.



A was arrested and charged with killing two women in their 30s and inflicting minor injuries to two husbands by swinging a knife at two cousins ​​after an argument on the street in front of a pub in Seonghwan-eup, Cheonan-si last April.
