.

Glance would thus be about to launch in the United States.

A subsidiary of the Indian company InMobi, the company wants to offer pre-installed lock screens to the various smartphone manufacturers, so that they can then sell these spaces to advertising agencies.

Not just ads

InMobi is well established in Asia.

Manufacturers are therefore already marketing smartphones with Glance.

The latter is currently in negotiation with operators based in the United States.

Samsung and Xiaomi, already partners of InMobi, could be the first to offer these new advertising spaces.

Google, for its part, is an investor in InMobi.

According to several sources, the American giant would also be interested in these locked advertising screens.

In order not to put off users, the idea would be for the screen not only to display ads but also a news feed, videos or even cooking recipes.
