An SUV driver in his 20s was hit and killed by a 25-ton dump truck that violated the signal in Donghae, Gangwon-do.



According to the police on the 4th, a 25-ton dump truck and an SUV collided on the coast road next to the Lifelong Learning Center in Cheongok-dong, Donghae-si around 3:38 pm on the 24th of last month, according to the police.



A man in his 20s who was driving an SUV in the accident was taken to a nearby hospital in cardiac arrest, but eventually died.

On the other hand, on the 1st, a black box video of the accident was released on an online community.



Author A said, "My mother's acquaintance witnessed (the scene of the accident) and sent me to be careful driving."



Person A said, "According to an eyewitness, the dump truck was driving at an orange light by forcibly speeding up and breaking the signal, and the SUV was trying to make a left turn at a normal signal," he said.



If you look at the video, when the SUV starts slowly and arrives at the intersection, the dump truck runs at high speed and collides with the SUV. 



Then, the dump truck stopped after pushing the SUV for a long time with a loud roar.



According to the police, it was confirmed that the dump truck driver was not in a state of drunk driving, and the police plan to investigate whether there is a signal violation.



In this regard, a Donghae city official said, "This area is a place where accidents usually occur."
