A former lawmaker has been charged with assaulting his wife.
The Suwon Jungbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced today (3rd) that a report of domestic violence by a former member of the National Assembly was received and is being investigated.
It is reported that at around 2:50 pm on the 2nd, a report was received of Mr. A's assault, such as shaking her wife's head and shoulders violently at her home in Suwon.
It is reported that Mr. A is from a member of the National Assembly who served as a 3rd term in a district in Gyeonggi-do.
A police official said, "The investigation of the victim has not been completed yet, and we need to investigate further whether there are any suspicions."
