This is a video filmed by the victims right after the incident of harassment by a female waitress at an entertainment establishment in Wonju in April of last year.

Women who have been torn from the severe beatings of their owners complain of pain here and there.

[Victim woman C: (It hurts a lot?) Yes, it hurts a lot.

It hurts so much here.

ah!

ah!

It hurts so much when I cough.] Even if I just put my

hand on my body, I can hear the sound of pain.

[Victim woman B: I made it like this, a person.

Now my neck is bent.

I checked.]

One woman who was subjected to the most severe cruelty was over 50 kg and lost 30 kg, showing her bare bones.

The burn marks caused by the owner pouring hot water on her body and traces of cruelty using needles are also evident.

Five women were detained in a room measuring less than 2 pyeong and suffered habitual assault.

They explained that they had to disclose the situation at the time when the perpetrators were still angry and injustice at the fact that they did not repent of their wrongdoings.

[Victim woman B: I also heard that the perpetrators said they did not do it.

It's so absurd, absurd, and so inexplicable.

So I thought it would be better to tell more about what can be known.]

Experts say that trauma treatment as well as medical examination of victims are urgently needed.

[Park Chan-seong / Attorney: If you are exposed to habitual assault and various harsh acts in a long-term confinement, the degree of mental and physical damage seems to be very serious.

Measures for active protection and recovery seem urgent.]

Meanwhile, the first trial against two arrested female business owners will be held on the 14th at the Wonju Branch of the Chuncheon District Court.
