Let's go to the northern part of Gyeonggi-do this time.

Our reporter is at Gunnam Dam in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, where it rained the most for two days.

Reporter Bomi Kim, it seems that the rain has subsided a bit now. How is the situation there?

<Reporter>

Yes, the area around Gunnam Dam is repeating heavy rain all day long.

Here in Yeoncheon, where the heavy rain warning is in effect, it has rained 309mm since yesterday, and it is the place with the most accumulated rainfall for two days.

The Gunnam Dam Situation Room is currently discharging about 1,800 tons of water per second, focusing on water level control.

As water inflow increased due to heavy rains in North Korea, all 13 water gates of Gunnam Dam have been opened since the evening of the 27th.

The water level at Gunnam Dam rose to 30 m at around 3 pm yesterday, and continues to drop to 27.9 m as of 7:20 pm today.

The water level of Pilseung Bridge at the northernmost tip of the Imjin River was 3.27m at 7pm, which was about 2m lower than last night.

In addition, the water level of the Hantan River dam is 63.2m, and it is rising again after repeating ups and downs.

It is predicted that more than 200 mm of rain will fall in Hwanghae-do and North Korea's Gangwon-do region until tomorrow, so the water level of the Imjin River and the Hantang River is likely to rise and the flow rate to increase.

Those in the vicinity of Gunnam Dam should continue to check the weather information carefully.

Then, tell us about the situation in other regions in northern Gyeonggi.

<Reporter>

A flood advisory has been issued for Namyangju this morning and Pocheon during the day.

In the northern part of Gyeonggi Province, 94 safety accidents were reported to the fire department from this morning to late afternoon, such as flooding of residential vehicles or falling trees on the road.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, but since it is an area where a lot of rain is concentrated, it seems that tensions should not be slowed down.
