A 30-year-old father who beat his daughter after returning home early from a fight with a friend and verbally abused her has been fined.



On the 30th (today), Chief Judge Kang Hee-kyung of the Changwon District Court announced that he had sentenced a 39-year-old man who was handed over to trial for violating the Child Welfare Act (child abuse) a fine of 7 million won.



In addition, he was ordered to complete 40 hours of a child abuse treatment program and to be restricted from employment at child-related organizations for three years.

On April 2, last year, at around 6:30 pm, in an apartment in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, Mr. A yelled at his 8-year-old daughter with abusive language saying, "Life is like X. There are no comfortable days when I come home."



Then she made remarks such as "What are you doing to climb up on your teachers?" and "What are you so good at, do you bully your teachers?"



About an hour later, when her daughter strangled her by herself, Mr. A began to lash out at her daughter.

He then slapped her daughter on the back, stepped on her with her feet, and threw a chair at the scene.



It was investigated that all of A's verbal abuse and assault took place in front of his 6-year-old brother.
