An official from the quarantine authorities said that among the two suspected monkey pox patients who entered Korea, one was negative and the other was positive in the first and second tests, and the results will come out on the afternoon of the 22nd.

According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the suspected patient who tested positive in the first round was a Korean who returned from Germany around 4 pm on June 21, and had a headache since June 18, before entering the country. He said he showed symptoms and skin lesions.

A patient suspected of monkey pox reported himself to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after arriving at Incheon Airport, and was classified as a pseudo-patient by the airport quarantine station and the Central Epidemiological Investigator.
