A group of people who committed harsh acts, such as forcibly feeding a runaway college student with cigarette butts and dropping them into a reservoir, were charged for not obeying them.

According to the legal community today (20th), the Daegu District Prosecutor's Office for Women and Children Crime Investigation Department (Chief Hyeonseung Jeong) sentenced two people, including A (20), to charges of harassing runaway college students in a group (violation of the Act on Punishment of Special Injuries and Violence). He said he was arrested and charged with two accomplices without detention.

They are accused of assaulting college student B (20), who ran away from home for about a month in July of last year, dozens of times with a stick and throwing him into a reservoir after wearing a life jacket.

At the same time, he is also charged with harsh acts, such as burning body hair with matches, forcing him to commit lewd acts, burning his body with cigarette fires, and making him eat the butts.

According to the prosecution, it was revealed that the party of Mr. A made friends with Mr. B through SNS and induced them to run away.

Afterwards, they planned to commit a fraudulent loan while living with B, who ran away from home, but it was investigated that B acted foolishly and did not follow the instructions of the party, so he acted harshly.

In the end, their crimes were discovered when B's father reported it to the police in August of last year.

The police sent Mr. A without detention, but during the prosecution's investigation process, the two main culprits, including Mr. A, were arrested and charged.

A prosecution official said, "The victim complained of extreme psychological damage and requested severe punishment from the accused. We will make this sentence happen,” he said.
