Microsoft is finally sounding the death knell for the web's best-known – and least-used – browser.

This Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Internet Explorer will stop working on all Windows-based devices,

reports .

According to the initial plan, the browser put into operation in 1995 was to be retired in 2025. But in 2021, Microsoft finally announced its "death" for this Wednesday.

After 27 years of existence and an economic climax in 2003, Internet Explorer will bid farewell to all Web users.
